In addition to Bernie the Saint Bernard, we are grafetul for Brisk, a gentle giant Newfoundland dog who volunteered with us. Newfoundlands really do come in brown fur coats!

Some of her favourite things were neighbourhood walks, playing fetch, and sniffing around in pet food stores.

 

But most of all, Brisk enjoyed hanging out with kids of all ages. She was particularly skilled at holding down the floor so kids could pat her.
